Area IX of the AGEHR (TX & OK)
Area IX of the American Guild of English Handbell Ringers is comprised of the states of Texas and Oklahoma. This site is a useful resource for information about the latest opportunities available to ringers in directors in more local areas.
Austin Handbell Ensemble
The Austin Handbell Ensemble was founded in September 1995 by Austin area directors and ringers who were interested in establishing a community handbell choir. The AHE is a 501(c) non-profit corporation dedicated to excellence in ringing and to promoting musical education at all levels. The fifteen member choir is under the direction of Bob Avant and Linda Rutherford.
Baylor Bronze
The Baylor Bronze is directed by Carla David. This team boasts 5 full octaves of handbells with the addition of seven aluminum "basso profundo" lower 6th/7th octave bells. Students include both undergraduate and graduate students at Baylor.

Cast of Bronze is located in Dallas, Texas. This ensemble is dedicated to the pursuit of excellence in music and the promotion of the art of handbell ringing.s.
Concert Bells of Fort Worth
This group is an auditioned community handbell ensemble of advanced ringers from the North Texas area. CBFW is dedicated to musical excellence through artistic handbell performance.
East Texas Handbell Ensemble
The East Texas Handbell Ensemble, under the direction of Arnold Sherman, is a semi-professional group with fifteen members. It was formed in 1994 to provide ringers in the the Tyler area with an opportunity to advance their ringing skills and broaden their knowledge of handbell literature.
Houston Bronze
The Houston Bronze Ensemble is a professional, auditioned handbell ensemble comprised of musicians from the greater Houston area. The goal of the Houston Bronze Ensemble is to bring a distinctive level of expertise and artistry of English Handbell Ringing through concerts and educational venues.

The Raleigh Ringers

River City Ringers
River City Ringers was founded in the summer of 2005 by a group of dedicated directors and ringers who had long been intereste in establishing a community handbell ensemble. They serve San Antonio and the surrounding areas.

Sonos Handbell Ensemble has been at the forefront of handbell artistry since its founding in the San Francisco Bay Area in 1990. In its desire to move handbells into the musical mainstream, Sonos has sought the best transcriptions and original material available today, encouraging composers to write works for bells alone and in combination with other instruments and voices.
