The Rainbow Room
A Program of the Williamson County Child Welfare Board
The Rainbow Room is an emergency resource center that distributes items to children and families who are served by Child Protective Services. The Rainbow Room is available to caseworkers 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year. These items, which include clothing, diapers, shoes, socks, formula and hygiene items, are made available to clients of CPS caseworkers free of any overhead or administrative costs. The Williamson County Child Welfare Board is responsible for the creation of the room and keeping the room stocked with appropriate supplies and items requested by the caseworkers. One hundred percent of every dollar or item donated goes directly to the children. The most basic needs of a family in crisis are often unavailable. With the resources from the Rainbow Room caseworkers can help families immediately. This can keep a family together, develop a relationship between CPS and the family, or give hope to a child who feels lost.
From October 19 through January 4, the children’s Sunday School offering money will be collected to go to the Williamson County Rainbow Room. We invite you to let your child also choose from the items below to bring one Sunday as a donation. By supporting the Rainbow Room, you are ensuring that the most critically needed items are available for children when they need them most.
