Chris McLain to speak at January UMW Meeting

The United Methodist Women will be hosting a luncheon on Sunday January 25, 2009 at 12:30 pm following the worship services. Chris McLain, our missionary to Swaziland will be the featured speaker. All ladies are invited. Watch for more details in January.

The United Methodist Women will be hosting this overnight retreat for fellowship and renewal! Ministry of Motherhood

The Ministry of Motherhood welcomes you to join us on our journey to become strengthened, encouraged, and equipped Christian MOMs. The Ministry of Motherhood meets weekly during the school year and follows the Round Rock school calendar. We are one group but offer meetings on two different days, Thursday and Friday. Both meetings are in Building 5, Room 127. Click here for details.

 

Memory Gatherers Meet for Scrapbooking & Paper Crafts

This scrapbooking group at First Church hosts a regular fun, informal time to catch up on our scrapbooks or card-making and meet new friends who share our hobby. The group meets the 3rd Friday of the month from 7 pm until midnight (come for some or all of the event). Click here for details and to register.

Women's Retreats

Ladies Day Out 2009 will be on May 2!

At our first Ladies Day Out in 2008, nearly 180 women (a sold out event) joined together in the Family Life Center on Saturday, April 6 for a fun-filled, inspiring day. Since 82% of those who evaluated the event rated it as AWESOME and 100% of those responding said they would attend another Ladies Day Out and 100% said they would recommend that their friends attend, we are making plans for an even bigger and better event. We have booked virtually the entire campus and are planning to have keynote speaker sessions in the Sanctuary. We will plan even more breakout sessions (and since we had so many requests for offering some of the same sessions as last time we are considering doing that as well). We will plan a fun and delicious lunch along the lines of last year. If you would like to participate on the planning committee, please email Judy Bowman at j_bow@usa.net and let her know how you would like to help.

Women's Bible Study

Join other women in studying God's Word. There are different short-term studies offered regularly. Usually, a Wednesday morning and Wednesday evening group utilizes a Beth Moore study in both the Spring and Fall semesters. Other short-term classes utilizing various studies and authors will be offered at various times throughout the year. To get details about the upcoming or current study, click here.
