Man Alive!
The winter semester focus will be What Jesus Said to Men.
Man Alive! is a weekly men’s ministry for those men seeking what it means to truly succeed in life. This is not a Bible Study. It is not an accountability group. It is not a time for “mature” Christians to gather and share deep things of faith. Man Alive! is an opportunity for men to get together to focus on men’s issues of life in practical ways that appeal to men.
Over a period of eight weeks in each of two “semesters” per year,(January through March and October through November), these men’s issues will be addressed in ways that focus on issues and questions most men find they face frequently. The first semester focused on Winning at Life and Overcoming the Myths that Make Men Miserable. Last fall the focus was The Heart of a Man:Heart Breakers and Heart Makers. The winter semester begins February 4 with the theme: What Jesus Said to Men.
Each meeting begins with breakfast at 5:30 am, followed by a presentation on some aspect of the theme being addressed. The presentations begin at 6 am and are normally given by the Reverend John Aymond, though there may be an occasional guest speaker. After the morning talk there is an opportunity for a short discussion around each of the tables to expand on the issues covered. This is a warm, friendly, and motivational environment that is not intended to put anyone on the spot. Each week the session will be completed by 7:00 am.
It is not required that you pre-register, but it will help us know how much breakfast to prepare. So, if you know you'll be coming, please help us plan by clicking here and letting us know.
